OneNote - Course package (overview)
OneNote is the note-taking system from Microsoft Office. Many users of the Office package have not yet discovered it or have only „experimented“ with the basic functions - yet it is a very powerful application that makes many of the advantages of paper notes available digitally, is easy to use, can search all content in full text and perfectly complements Outlook with a „strategic“ planning level above the appointments/tasks as well as detailed notes (minutes, research, ideas, etc.). Discover and utilise the advantages of digital notes with OneNote - the essentials always in view, always with you and searchable in full text - as the perfect complement to Outlook for your daily work, planning and ideas!
In this course package, Holger Wöltje will show you the advantages of OneNote, how the structure of the note system is organised, how to use it correctly, how to create good page titles and how to use the search function to find project and event preparations immediately, for example, and how to see the current status when your boss calls spontaneously and asks about the current status. You will discover how to create collections of ideas, organise planning steps and link follow-up tasks with Outlook - be it for planning an extensive publication, the next marketing campaign, improvements for the development of your next product version or the implementation of follow-up tasks from a jour fixe.
You will learn how to use templates (e.g. for project meetings), keep track of the latest changes, visually emphasise important content with categories and list it across pages, create handwritten notes and also search these in full text. You will also learn how to create links to notes and between notes and how to transfer an email to a OneNote page with just a few clicks (e.g. to note questions and follow-up tasks, to note the answers and other tasks in a follow-up telephone call and to keep an eye on the completion status at all times).
OneNote basics course
If you haven't used OneNote before or have only „experimented“ with it on a basic level, this course will show you in under 90 minutes how to use it. Advantages and the most important functions of the programme. Among other things, you will learn how to:
- Your Create and edit notes, which Structure understand (structure & Advantages the OneNote-notes),
- Collections of ideas and extensive Research create,
- Tasks mark in OneNote and Link with Outlook,
- one e-mail with just a few clicks on a OneNote page take over (e.g. to Questions and follow-up tasks to note, to complete the answers in a telephone conversation and to Completion status to keep an eye on) and
- with the Full text search all contents at any time find and Open directly with one click.
OneNote Advanced Course I
Building on the basic course, in this first in-depth course you will learn how to optimise your Notes more optimise and structure, the essentials and the current Completion status always to keep an eye on. You will learn, among other things:
- how you fast and simple Create checklists,
- what the Distinguishes task category from linked Outlook tasks,
- how to work with Hyperlinks between notes and Refer to notes from external programmes (e.g. from an Outlook appointment to the results of two other meetings),
- how you Structures create, format and easily reorganise them (e.g. create a collection of ideas and put them in a Realisation sequence bring),
- how to work with Categories work in OneNote, e.g. to quickly find the Status to capture (seen? approved? completed?) and across pages with the category search (e.g. all open questions of all project meetings).
OneNote Advanced Course II
Building on the first two courses, this second in-depth course will show you how to improve your Further optimise notes and OneNote alongside other applications. Among other things, you will discover how to:
- with Page versions view an older status (e.g. if you or your holiday replacement accidentally deleted/overwrote too much last month),
- Open OneNote multiple times (e.g. detailed Research alongside the current Protocol),
- Handwriting in OneNote, search in full text and additional space down in the centre of the page (to insert something supplement),
- with Page templates work (e.g. checklists for Holiday handovers and Event planning) and
- fast all changes of the last days keep an eye on.
